video: Dua pesawat aerobatic bertembung di Lima langkawi

IMG20150315WA0013 IMG20150315WA0008Dua pesawat Jupiter Aerobatic Team, Angkatan Udara Tentera Nasional Indonesia (AU-TNI) terhempas ketika melakukan latihan aerobatik sempena LIMA ’15 di Pusat Pameran Antarabangsa Mahsuri (MIEC) di Langkawi, hari ini.

Jurucakap Bomba dan Penyelamat Langkawi berkata nahas berlaku pukul 2.04 petang ketika sekumpulan enam pesawat jenis KT-1B itu sedang melintasi ruang udara MIEC, sebelum dua daripadanya berlanggar di udara dan terbabas.

Kedua-dua pesawat kemudian dilihat terhempas di luar kawasan lapangan terbang, disusuli api dan kepulan asap.

Nasib kedua-dua juruterbang masih belum diketahui.

Seorang saksi, Husin Ahmad, 25, berkata beliau ternampak juruterbang sempat menyelamatkan diri menggunakan payung terjun.

Two KT-1B aircraft from Indonesia’s Jupiter aerobatics team crashed about 2pm during a practice stint for the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace (LIMA) 2015 exhibition.

According to New Straits Times, the two aircraft “grazed” each other before crashing.

Witnesses reported that the pilots were able to eject before crashing.

It was reported that one of the aircraft crashed within the perimeter of the Langkawi International Airport but the other was said to have crashed near a village on the outskirts of the airport.

All practice flights for aircraft on aerial displays were stopped as combat search and rescue helicopters were deployed to find the pilots.
